How is ABACUS able to perform an online backup of 1 Terabyte offsite, every night?   Although there are many components to answering this question, the main enabler is an advanced software algorythm call "binary patching".  Binary patching gives ABACUS the ability to perform an online backup of just the changes made within any particular file - at the bit level.  Read more about our binary patch technology.

Data Archiving During Online Backup:

Oddly enough, many of our online backup competitors have no facility to archive clients’ data.  The ABACUS interface allows client data to be retained for any period of time chosen by the user; even for 20 years or more.  That means our clients have the ability to restore a file as it exists currently, or as it existed at some point in time previously.

Built-in Support for Open Files and Hot Database Backup:

ABACUS Online Backups supports hot brick-level and information store backup for MS Exchange (including Outlook, contacts, calendar, etc) and has specialized agents for online backup of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Domino, and more.  There is no need to stop processes or use third party software.
